Join the York Regional Police and “Be a Hero” to support Southlake’s Paediatric Oncology Clinic. Southlake’s Paediatric Oncology Clinic provides vital care in partnership with Sick Kids Hospital and the Paediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO), close to home for thousands of young cancer patients in our communities. Since its inception in 2009, it is now the fastest growing POGO satellite clinic in Ontario. Our busy clinic sees approximately 1,300 annual patient visits a year. This growth would not have been possible without the strong support from our donors, patients, families and event organizers like York Regional Police, whose Be A Hero head shave has helped enable the program’s success.
Donations today, will help Southlake work toward expanding comprehensive paediatric oncology care. The expansion will see the clinic increase with patient visits by 20 percent, advance supportive care and broaden the scope of chemotherapy treatments.
