    Assistant Manager

    As an Assistant Manager, you set the tone for the store and the team and help bring our brand to life for our customers. You’re responsible for driving profitable sales growth through all aspects of the store including; customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development. You are responsible for supporting the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals. Through collaboration with your General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager, you will teach and coach behaviours to Leads, Experts and Brand Associates to cultivate a high performing team to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers.

    • A current or former retail employee with 1-3 years of retail management experience.
    • A high school graduate or equivalent.
    • A good communicator with the ability to effectively interact with customers and your team to meet goals.
    • Passionate about retail and thrive in a fast- paced environment.
    • Driven by metrics to deliver results to meet business goals.
    • Determined to effectively lead and inspire others to learn and grow through coaching and mentoring.

    About the Role:

    As a Sales Associate at PokinPokin, you will be responsible for:
    -Delivering sales through friendly and efficient customer service
    -Ensuring our customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience
    -Demonstrating PokinPokin’s products
    -Assisting customers with their queries using your product knowledge
    -Assisting with processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, stock takes, markdowns and promotions
    -Ensuring the store looks presentable and inviting to our customers

According to PokinPokin’s market survey, almost 90% of claw machine shops are still using the gameplay from 10 years ago. They always believed that the process of catching dolls alone could please customers, and they never cared about the quality of plush toys in the claw machines. This has also led to the fact that in most people’s inherent thinking, the claw machine is always bound to the two concepts of “low-end” and “it is impossible to clamp”. The times are different now, trendy figures have set off a huge wave in the world, and young people all over the world are rushing to buy them, the best examples of which are BearBrick and Pop-Mart. And what has changed with this change is the claw machine market. In China, there are currently two claw machine brands that stand out, one is “夹机占” and the other is “PokinPokin”. PokinPokin’s claw machine has a very high chance of grabbing. In the process of playing, people will first get rid of an inherent idea of claw machines, that is, “extremely difficult”. We have cooperated with world-renowned IPs, such as “BANDAI SPIRITS”, “Pop-Mart”, “Sumikko Gurashi” and so on. While cooperating with these big brands, we are also looking for cooperation with small designer brands, in this way to achieve the diversity of PokinPokin products. In other words, we sell our products through the game of grabbing claw machines, and we have achieved great success in the Chinese market so far.

    About You

    -Some high school required
    -Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills
    -Basic computer skills
    -Understands the importance of Customer Service
    -Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills
    -Ability to stand during scheduled shifts
    -Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally
    -Bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders and step stools while placing merchandise throughout the store and assisting Customers
    -Ability to operate POS system
