Guests can find an 8.5-ft snake structure in Market Court for unique photo opportunities from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, February 2.

Upper Canada and Hillcrest have partnered with the North Toronto Chinese Alliance Church to celebrate Lunar New Year, the Year of the Snake.

On January 25th from 11:00AM-4:00PM, we invite you to visit Market Court for our Lunar New Year Celebration which will include an incredible lion dance, Chinese New Year songs, a Qipao performance, and more! During your visit, immerse yourself in Upper Canada’s beautiful Lunar New Year themed backdrop, balloon twisting, face painting, and more interactive booths.

Children’s show featuring a community choir and an incredible Lion Dance.

Yangko and fan dances, Chinese New Year songs and a Qipao performance.

Join us for Lunar New Year themed face painting with multiple designs and patterns.

Fai Chun
Fai Chun is a traditional decoration that is frequently used during Lunar New Year. Fai Chun is hung on doorways to create a festive atmosphere. Create your very own Fai Chun!

Five Colour Candy Box 五色全盒
A Chinese candy box is a traditional box during Lunar New Year which allows candy and other edibles to be stored in. The red box symbolizes good fortune and joy. Try 5 different flavours of candy including Green Pomegranate, Dark Seed, Red Seed, White Milk Candy and Golden Chocolate.
